PIONEER MEN
We're pretty much old-school here when it comes to holiday traditions, so that means that the OTHER famous holiday coming up won't officially kick off until Thanksgiving day. VGMH hasreviewed and honored famed gay artist Etienne's life before, so today we'll celebrate Thanksgiving 2013 with one of his series, rather than focus on the man himself. This art portfolio is simply known as Trappeurs. Like all of Etienne's work, there's so much more going on in addition to the obvious...and in this case the French men who are the trappers are rooted in real American history that's often overlooked. Trappeurs
Our French fur trader is busy chopping wood when, right on time, a canoe carrying a sexy blonde frontiersman arrives at the shore, looking eager to barter while cautiously carrying his rifle. The untamed West was wild territory and every encounter with either man or beast could go either way, so a guy had to always be on his guard.
